As an educator, I have served as a teacher-librarian at every instructional level. I have also been a classroom teacher, district-level teacher-librarian mentor, literacy coach, and classroom teacher educator. I am currently an assistant professor in the School of Library and Information Studies at Texas Woman's University in Denton.

I am an ardent advocate for high-quality school library programs faciliated by professional school librarians centered on classroom-library collaboration for instruction, the integration of authentic children’s literature and technology tools into the classroom curriculum, and family literacy.
